Christine M. Chappell is an author, speaker, podcast host, and ACBC-certified biblical counselor who writes and speaks about suffering, emotional struggles, and the hope of Christ. She is the author of several books and minibooks, including Lament: Crying Out in Faith, Midnight Mercies: Walking with God Through Depression in Motherhood, and Help! I've Been Diagnosed with a Mental Disorder.

Christine serves as the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship as the host of the Hope + Help Podcast, where she interviews biblical counselors, ministry leaders, and authors about life's challenging problems and common counseling topics. She is also a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and a council member with the Biblical Counseling Coalition.
Christine’s heart for ministry has been shaped by her own past experiences with suffering, loss, and emotional struggles, including a previous diagnosis of bipolar disorder II, depression, panic attacks, disordered eating, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. Through these experiences, the Lord has deepened her compassion for those who suffer and strengthened her conviction that Christ offers real hope to weary and hurting hearts.
Christine lives in South Carolina with her husband and three children and is an active member of her local church. She regularly encourages audiences at conferences, retreats, and ministry events on topics related to suffering, biblical counseling, and the hope of Christ.
